Senior Inside Sales Representative - Outbound




Under minimal supervision the Senior Inside Sales Representative sells ULs products, systems, and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned accounts. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities.May act as a sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, and/or products. May partner with Outside Sales to assist in meeting their goals.


  • Identifies prospects through various lead generation activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players and referral program.
  • Calls on prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process and criteria, and their needs.
  • Discusses UL’s services with escalated prospects that are difficult to penetrate.
  • Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
  • Responsible for selling UL’s products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts while meeting financial commitments.
  • Coaches and mentors lower level staff on effective account management skills and sales processes.
  • Supports junior staff in the identification and evaluation of important customer information.
  • Identifies and resolves wide range of issues with little supervision.
  • Performs other duties as directed.



・University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors Degree) in a related discipline plus generally five years of directly related experience

・Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.

・Demonstrated ability to execute projects to achieve stated objectives.

・In-depth working knowledge of objectives, processes, and procedures of applicable subunit(s) of the organization.

・Has an in-depth understanding of the company products and services. Minimal business travel required.
