Under general to limited supervision, maintains quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls ensuring that performance and quality of services conform to establish standards and agency guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction. Identifies and assures implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness and quality of UL operations. Participates in process improvement initiatives through problem identification and escalation.
University degree or (equivalent) in Engineering, Business Administration or related field plus two years of experience in a quality function Working knowledge of quality concepts, techniques / methodologies including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Baldrige / Shingo). Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix environment. Working knowledge of audit controls. Fluency in Japanese is required.
